The next edition of Textilmoda will conclude the international circuit of textile fairs

The fair will return to its habitual dates and will take place after Première Vision.
As a new feature, a number of Japanese manufacturers of high-quality textiles will take part at this edition.

TEXTILMODA, the International Textile Fashion Fair, organised by IFEMA, will stage its eleventh edition between 27th and 29th September next,  concluding the international circuit of fairs for the industry.  The purpose of returning to the habitual dates of TEXTILMODA, after Première Vision, is to enable the manufacturers to exhibit their entire collections, at the same time as buyers discover the main trends on the market.  This initiative also seeks to increase the number of visitors to the fair, including those from Spain and from other countries, mainly Portugal.

This edition of TEXTILMODA, which will present the exhibitors' Autumn/Winter 2007/08 collections, will be located in Hall 2 at Feria de Madrid.  As a new feature, this edition will incorporate a number of Japanese manufacturers of high-quality textiles, whilst during the few months preceding the fair itself, the organizers will carry out a series of specific measures aimed at the main buyers from Spain and Portugal. The fair offers some excellent participation prospects, boosted by the favourable trade climate that existed at the end of the last edition of the fair in February.

In short, the tenth edition of TEXTILMODA was visited by some 2,413 professionals and  featured the participation of 167 companies, of which 53 were foreign. This reflects the fair's role as one of the main points of reference for the European textile industry. Alongside the Spanish participating companies, the fair featured a number of companies from Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Portugal and the United Kingdom.

Coincidence with SIPIEL
Furthermore, those professionals who visit the next edition of TEXTILMODA will also be able to discover the trends in leather and footwear accessories for Spring-Summer 2007, brought together at International Leather Week (SIPIEL), thanks to the fact that the two fairs will coincide on one day. SIPIEL will take place between 29th September and 1st October in Halls 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10 at Feria de Madrid.

As is customary, throughout the course of the fair TEXTILMODA will present its own interpretation of the trends for the new season to visitors at its  Trends Forum,  organised in collaboration with the French style studio, Nelly  Rodi. The Trends Forum will bring together over 1,000 real samples of textiles and adornments presented by the exhibiting companies, both Spanish and foreign. On this occasion, the Forum will be located in the connecting area between Halls 2 and 4, alongside IBERPIEL MARROQUINERÍA, thus facilitating the access of all those exhibitors and trade visitors at SIPIEL who wish to see the exhibition.

In order to complement the collections and ideas exhibited at the Forum and the various stands at TEXTILMODA, the fair will publish and sell a Trends Booklet for the season, featuring extensive information regarding the colours and textures that are likely to set the trend. This is a tool of considerable use to all professionals within the industry.

The following sectors will be represented at the fair: Cotton, Knitwear, Wool, Silk, Linen, Synthetic Textiles, Other Textiles, Leather, Adornments and Accessories for Clothes Manufacturing, and the Specialized Press and Style Studios.

With ten editions already behind it, TEXTILMODA has emerged as an essential event for all clothes manufacturers, designers, purchasing heads at large retail chains, wholesalers, textile retailers, agents and independent stylists.

TEXTILMODA  will be open from 9.30 a.m. through to 7.30 p.m., except for the last day of the fair, when it will close at 6 p.m.
