Exponor bets on a a seasonal interiorism in its new contest.

INTERDECORAÇAO OCASIAO will propose summer atmospheres with decorative flowers and plants. The new brand will reinforce the segment of the floral decoration and plants with a specific hall devoted to them. Flowers and decoration are united in INTERDECORAÇAO OCASIAO, the new contest of Exponor that will open its doors in Porto next 18th of May.

The fair aims at encouraging the segment of decoration, accessories and gifts at a time of the year where there is a need to replace samples. The fair will deepen in the relation between natural decoration, plants and flowers with the first edition of the Hall Plants and Flowers. OCASIAO will put in contact distributors and producers of plants and floral decoration with international buyers and interior decorators. INTERDECORAÇAO OCASIAO complements INTERDECORAÇAO, the contest of decorative accessories which is organized in Porto every year, that this year welcomed 25.500 visitors. This new fair is organized in replacement of INTERDECORAÇAO VERAO, which in its last edirion welcomed 11.691 visitors. The new week mark replaces INTERDECORAÇAO VERAO, contest that in its last edition of 2005 received 11,691 visitors,  registering an increase of 30% respect the previous year. Thanks to the loyalty generated, the organization hopes to increase the numbers of visitors compared to the previous edition. Spain with more than 90% of the foreign visitors, led last year the ranking of international visitors, strengthening the Iberian profile of the fair. Portugal is the second destiny for Spanish home articles and accessories (79 million euros). The neighboring country is our fifth supplier (69 millions), according to the Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX).
