Montjuïc will provide the setting for the 25th anniversary of Hostelco
Hostelco faces its 13th show with innovation and internationalisation as its main challenges
The 13th HOSTELCO will be held in the Montjuïc exhibition centre from the 26th to the 30th of October 2006. This new show celebrates the 25th anniversary of the event, which opened its doors for the first time in 1981.
On this occasion, innovation and internationalisation will be the central themes of this new show. Hostelco 2006 will showcase the most advanced products and services in the hotel and catering machinery and equipment sectors: tableware and service; management, control, information technology and safety; textiles and uniforms; furniture and decoration; food and beverages for hotels, restaurants and group catering; EXPOLIMP: equipment and products for laundry, dry cleaning, hygiene and cleaning; vending and service companies.
Another challenge the organisers have set for themselves is to increase the number of international visitors by more than the 9% growth achieved at the previous show.
In order to continue growing in space, the trade fair will have the availability of hall Z6 in addition to all the Montjuïc halls.
25 years at the service of the hotel and catering industry
The 2006 show is the celebration of the 25th anniversary of HOSTELCO, which was created in 1981 as the Hotel, Restaurant and Group Catering Equipment Show. Since then its growth has been exponential on a parallel with the sector it serves.
Hostelco is organised by Fira de Barcelona, the leading organiser of industrial and professional trade fairs in Spain and one of the first four in Europe in number of events, and by FELAC, the Federación Española de Asociaciones de Fabricantes de Maquinaria para Hostelería, Colectividades e Industrias Afines.
