The Madrid International Furniture Exhibition grants its fifth design awards

The Jury at the Madrid International Furniture Exhibition 2006, which consisted of members of the Governing Board of the Official College of Decorators/Interior Designers of Madrid, has chosen the winners of the fair's Fifth Design Awards, based on the three most interesting models exhibited at this edition of the fair. The three winners' awards were all granted within the same category, in view of the wide range of ideas presented, representing a form of acknowledgement for a job well done.

The winning companies, (in alphabetic order) included the following:
AB 21 ALFOMBRAS, S.L.  Hall 1  - Stand A109
Floral Model by Ángeles González
This company is characterised by the importance its grants to designer work, including the manufacture of models such as this winning design, which is an example of the sense of harmony achieved that can be achieved in terms of geometric design and the range of colours employed.
GUADARTE, S.A. Hall 3 - stand 3E506
The interest that this company habitually reveals at the MADRID INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE EXHIBITION culminated at this edition with a highly varied exhibition of decorative products produced by the company itself. The Jury granted the award to Model 2077-M, a white cupboard, featuring a white ceramic interior and transparent glass. In this presentation, the lighting montage created a spectacular effect.
MOBILIARIO Y OBJETOS PARA LA CASA, S.L. Hall 5 - stand 5D403
The carefully assembled exhibition of models presented by this company, all featuring exquisite attention to detail and finish, encompassing both wooden furniture items and upholstered furniture and lamps, makes up a catalogue from which the Jury singled out the model known as Vitrina Nature, within the MEC Collection. This model was chosen for its considerable elegance and multi-purpose simplicity.
