The greatest show in the world of children’s fashion
FIMI, the International Fair of Children’s and Young People’s Fashion, is preparing to open its doors again this coming 12th January 2007 concurrently with the Baby & Childcare Show, 0-4.
During the three days of the fair, all the latest trends and collections for the Autumn Winter season 2007-2008 will be unveiled for the first time. Holding both of these fairs conjointly gives many points of sale who sell both types of products an excellent opportunity to find out what’s new and what will be in demand next season.
For this edition of the show, we are preparing the greatest show in the world of children’s fashion. Fashion that brings us back to the magic and fantasy of the circus in three new trends. First of all, we have Black Clown, which is a groundbreaking look based on a strong formal expressiveness. The colouring and rich metallic tones are combined with velvety textures, sweater dresses and omnipresent leggings. Next up is Magic World, a trend that invites us to savour special moments of enchantment. The ethereal harmony of ecru and natural neutral conjures up a world of textile magic. A classical air is matched with resized garments, with trapezoid and ball volumes in shortened silhouettes. Finally, saltimbanqui, or acrobat, is based on a sense of wellbeing and welfare, mirrored in a colourful range gaining in sophistication as it enters contact with neutrals. A mix and match of basic and unique pieces recovered from other uses and contexts where truncated volumes follow the lines of the body.
Like in previous editions, Pasarela FIMI will be a showcase featuring cutting-edge trends and, like last January, there will also be fashion shows for new collections from the Baby & Childcare show.
The 64th FIMI is focusing on visitors, and it is currently preparing a series of actions specifically targeting them, both before and during the fair itself. As Pepa Ortiz, director of FIMI, put it “we want the trade visitors to feel that this fair is made especially for them, that their needs are taken into account”.
