Ceramic tiles of Italy international press conference set for wednesday, april 18th Coverings 2007

On Wednesday, April 18th, 2007 the Italian ceramic tile industry, leaders in the production and design of ceramic tiles, will hold an International Press Conference at the McCormick Place during Coverings 2007, the premier exhibition of ceramic tiles in the United States (April 17-20, 2007).

Industry leaders including Enzo Mularoni, Vice President for Promotional Activities, Confindustria Ceramica; Aniello Musella, Trade Commissioner for North America, Italian Trade Commission; and Franco Vantaggi, Managing Director, Confindustria Ceramica will present information on the state of the industry, current promotional plans as well as an overview of industry design trends and technical achievements.  Also on the agenda will be the presentation of the Ceramic Tiles of Italy Design Competition 2007 Awards. Representatives from the winning architectural/design firms will fly in from all over North America to speak about their projects and receive a cash award and plaque commemorating their achievement.   The press conference will begin at 4:00 pm in room N426A.

This year, members of the media will also be invited to an authentic Italian breakfast on the morning of the 19th.   It will take place inside Ceramic Tiles of Italy’s newly re-colored exhibit by Bernard Tschumi Architects (Booth #1124) at 9:00 am.  Breakfast and cappuccinos will be followed by a tour of the exhibitors in the giant Italian pavilion.
