The IGEDO COMPANY expands its international visitor marketing worldwide
Personal talks with top buyers in 15 countries
To further strengthen the internationality of the IGEDO FASHION FAIRS DÜSSELDORF, the IGEDO COMPANY has organised several informational events in Europe and Asia.
Currently, talks are being held with top buyers from the major fashion houses and trade journalists in Almaty, Amsterdam, Baku, Barcelona, Delhi, Kiev, Copenhagen, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Mumbai, Prague, Riga, Tokyo, Warsaw, Vienna and Zurich. Focal point of the campaign is eastern Europe, where the Igedo Company is supported by its comprehensive network of foreign representatives who act as direct contacts for local visitors and exhibitors. "International top buyers are best reached through personal conversations—not on the phone or via the Internet," explains Igedo managing director Frank Hartmann, adding that the events are very efficient and will certifiably benefit Düsseldorf exhibitors'business. "This fall we again turned the focus of our efforts to eastern Europe. Financially sound buyers from this region have already recognised Düsseldorf as an important informational and order platform and are taking advantage of this more than ever before. The high level of visitor growth—15 percent and more—speaks for itself. Nonetheless there is still great untapped potential in the area, which we wish to develop for our exhibitors," Hartmann continues. Important visitor target groups in southern, northern and western Europe, as well as in Asia, will not be neglected, however. Also in these regions, new accents in visitor marketing are being set and personal talks arranged. The IGEDO FASHION FAIRS DÜSSELDORF are traditionally a Mecca for international retail fashion buyers from around the globe. Last July 44,000 trade visitors informed themselves and/or ordered in Düsseldorf's fair halls, joined by 1,700 media representatives from 40 countries and 1,780 exhibitors from 52 countries. Next to personal talks on location, the IGEDO COMPANY informs potential visitors about all relevant marketing channels connected with the IGEDO FASHION FAIRS DÜSSELDORF from 4 through 6 February 2007.
