Fashion Gallery – creativity & unique design
As a business platform for fashion individualists and international designers, the Fashion Gallery is the ’creative heart’ of CPD DÜSSELDORF. The fashion establishment keeps on re-inventing itself in an inspiring, puristic atmosphere, boasting new exhibitors such as Donassy, Caractère, Renate Harvan, Uli Schneider, Francoise Pendville, Trine Kryger Simonsen and well-known fashion designers such as Gesine Moritz, Lilith, Marimekko, Anett Röstel, Gabi Lauton, Anja Gockel or Aniki Karvinen. It is through trend shows on its own catwalk that the Fashion Gallery offers top buyers a clear overview of all collections designed by nonconformists.
Women’s outer garments core segments - Classic Women, Modern Women and New Womenswear The core segments of women’s outer garments focus on halls 9, 10, 11 and 12 presenting themselves as Classic Women, Modern Woman, New Womenswear, Maternity Wear/Kidz and Supersize and exhibiting middle-class fashion from business to casual chic via sportswear to sophisticated business wear. At the same time they provide a compact overview of the fashion range offered. In the halls, whose layout has been re-designed, labels such as Zaffiri, Capricorn, nook…fashion, Rosner, Tuzzi, Steilmann, Nienhaus & Lotz and Gerry Weber Lifestyle with Gerry Weber, Samoon, Taifun and Emozioni are exhibited. And do not forget the group of Danish labels like Godske, Brandtex, Fransa, Claire or Jensen. A market segment which is becoming more and more crucial to the specialised retailers’ product lines is the area ”Accessoires Order“. Labels like Panama, Codello, Roeckl, Striessnig present themselves in an innovative design similar to the Fashion Gallery. CPD White & Night In hall 15 next to the east entrance the clean and modern world of bridal and evening fashion can be found. The new layout of the halls offers a clear subdivision into product groups underlining the festive character of CPD White & Night due to its elegant atmosphere. The collections of exhibitors such as Ian Stuart, Divina Sposa, Marcelane, Weise, Celine Trading, Marco Cuciotto, Eddy K., Emmerling, Fashion New York, Janvier Arnaiz, Juanna Llop, Karl Fertig, Kleemeiner, Sina C. Kurschat, Matrimonia, Mode de Pol, Modecà with the groom collection Kimo, Oni Onik, Scala are to be introduced in an avant garde environment based on individual segments. Events CPD DÜSSELDORF is not only a business platform, but also a venue for events, awards and entertainment. On occasion of CPD White & Night young fashion designers for the second time will gain high recognition during the presentation of the Bridal Award, which was introduced in cooperation with Modeschule Mönchengladbach Fashion School. The fans of progressive ideas may expect a relaunch and the national expansion of the competition ’Design on the Rhine’ featuring new designers. The winners will be presented by a competent jury during a show in the Catwalk Café on the CPD Monday. They will be supported by being offered to use a stand for free for the two following seasons, and will be able to participate in the Fashion Gallery show. The focus will also be on the young generation during the ’VIP Event’ Bunte Magazine New Faces Award on the CPD Monday. Another important industry event is the presentation of the Petra GermanFashion Awards in seven categories by the fashion magazine Petra together with the GermanFashion Modeverband on the eve of CPD. Service POWER OF D., the slogan for the fashion metropolis, represents lifestyle with 3,000 fashion brands, which are exhibited during IGEDO MODEMESSEN. Easy and simple to find: the navigator POWER OF D., the official trade fair catalogue, lists the companies at the fair, at the Düsseldorf Fashion House and in the showrooms. Working towards more intense cooperation with the showrooms is one of the most important tasks of IGEDO in order to combine the advantages of location in one core of brands. As regards export customers, the trade fair is an important platform, a fact which is confirmed by the positive response with many showroom companies returning to the exhibition grounds. It is not about shifting the whole range of business activities to the exhibition grounds during the event, but about branch offices and areas for information purposes in order to make new business contacts and generate export business. In order to reduce costs for showroom operators, special packages are offered at favourable conditions. Other services offered on occasion of CPD DÜSSELDORF during IGEDO MODEMESSEN DÜSSELDORF are individual travel packages for buyers from all over the world, which are offered in cooperation with the partners Fairs & Guests and the DMT-Düsseldorf Marketing & Tourismus GmbH. A popular and traditional service included in the CPD admission ticket is the admission to all museums in Düsseldorf during the trade fair with the Düsseldorf Art.Card, which is combined with the CPD ticket. Another advantage is free use of the public transit services of the Transport Association Rhein-Ruhr. Flexibility is guaranteed by simple transport logistics on the fair grounds and to the various fashion locations in Düsseldorf, as there is a regular shuttle bus service within the periphery of the halls and to the individual showrooms including the Düsseldorf Fashion House. Additional transport options on the river Rhine are made available by the boat company ‘Weiße Flotte’ running boat trips to the landing stages Medienhafen and Altstadtufer/Burgplatz, which represents a hassle-free way to travel. The information tool on the Sales Associates’ Day offers reduced admission fees, which also cover a sales seminar as a Come-Together event for the sales team at the POS on the CPD Tuesday.
