Great Architecture in its ideal setting The Palazzo dei Congressi offers a wide range of solutions for hosting fairs, congresses, conferences and exhibitions, in rooms which are unique for the beauty of the marble, and the simplicity and symmetry of the special architectural structures. The building is one of the major facilities for hosting congresses in Rome EUR SpA was constituted on March, 15th 2000 after the transformation of Ente Eur, constituted on 1936 to host the Esposizione Universale di Roma in 1942. The Society (90% Treasury Department, 10% Comune di Roma) has a share capital of 645.248.000 Euro, composed by buildings and parks which can be rented. EUR SpA´s aims at achieving an effective management of this national resources, obtaining economic benefits and taking care of the cultural and architectural heritage of the historic buildings. This management includes the use of the premises for the organization of exhibitions, congresses and cultural and sports events. A series of new projects are being carried out at the moment for a new center (Nuovo Centro Congressi), the transformation of existing buildings (Palazzo della Civiltà, Italiana,Velodromo, Palazzo dell’Arte Antica) and the care of parks and green areas. The Nuovo Centro Congressi, of M. Fuksas, and the Palazzo dei Congressi, of A.Libera will compose a congress complex that will attract the most important events in the international circuit.
