The origin We are at the end of the seventies in 1979, a young boy who just turned 20 discovers a little piece of California near Avignon, recreated by a group of friends, with American stocks and a few vintage designers stores. He cuts out his first jacket from an old piece of leather and a few months later sets up the company Charles Chevignon. Today Chevignon focuses on values inherited from its past as prepares its new wave. Always keeping en eye on fashion and trends, interpreting or translating them its own way, the brand delivers a personal vision of vintage codes and men`s authenticity. Chevignon holds a special interest in working each garment as a unique piece with a specific concept of mixing fabrics. This emphazes an authentic yet modern approach, constantly renewing products through colours and vintage influences, such as treatments and textures. The 2008 Spring/Summer CHEVIGNON collection gets its inspiration from a moving festival, entertained by American rock artists from the 70`s, travelling by train at summer time. The CHEVIGNON man, a charismatic character, independent and inquisitive, gets on board. Through the magic of live music and improvisation, he will meet other culture, discover and seize different worlds and environments. Gradually, this will become a source of exchange, crossover and novelty. It will influence his behavior, his look and his wardrobe. For this collection, Chevignon is going back to its core roots, with painstakingly worked raw materials, aged pieces and fine textures, yielding a collection which is innovative yet faithful to its `vintage` spirit.
